Mission: The mission of The Institute of Living/Hartford Hospital
is to promote, restore, and maintain the health of all people we serve. In
support of this mission, the purpose of the Psychology Department is to provide
high quality treatment and assessment services to all patients and to provide
training in clinical psychology and neuropsychology. This includes
predoctoral internships in child and adolescent psychology and adult psychology, and
postdoctoral training in neuropsychology, anxiety disorders, child and
adolescent clinical psychology, general adult inpatient treatment, and cognitive
rehabilitation of schizophrenia . These programs are part of the hospital's long-standing
training mission which is administered under the auspices of the Department of
Education.
