hours/day and 5 days/week), we also offer intensive outpatient level services
for more flexible scheduling (up to 3 hours/day and up to 5 days/week).
Clinical Services Include:

The Behavioral Management System
Children are monitored and reinforced for cooperativeness,
social appropriateness, safety, and participation. They receive concrete
rewards for positive results. School and home are also included in the
behavior plan.
Therapy Groups
- Goal setting
- Problem solving
- Self-esteem
- Anger management
- Social skill building
|
Medical Services
The program has a part-time consulting child psychiatrist who
can prescribe medications if needed, and a full-time psychiatric nurse who can
administer and monitor them. Laboratory resources are also available.
Family Participation
We have learned over the years that active parent involvement is
essential for a child's successful treatment at Child Day Treatment. This
means parents must attend the weekly multifamily group and scheduled family
therapy sessions.
Goals For Child Day Treatment
- Rapid improvement in emotional or behavioral symptoms through
intensive treatment
- Dealing better with feelings
- Improved coping skills
- Improved social skills
- Family involvement and support
- Parent education
